Succubus was due for an update tonight but I'm suddenly unable to concentrate on my work right now. There has been an absolutely horrifying tragedy in Newtown that has me a bit rattled. I am a parent and feel the need to go to school and be with my son right now. I should be able to get back to work briefly tonight but there is no way I can finish my update if I do leave right now, which I've decided to do. There is no point in my working since I can't even think.
This is a visceral and instinctive thing that any parent will understand. It may seem a bit ridiculous and overly dramatic to some since the odds are so long against anything happening here but nonetheless my emotions are strong in this matter. I've learned to listen to them when concerns my child.
