I've been a busy boy. Here are samples from two stories I've done for Monster Babe Central in the last two weeks. In order, they are from Don't Go Into Whisper Park 2 and Sector 13 The Hope of Man.

In the Hope of Man I'm setting up a spin off from S13 that revolves around the adventures of Dr. Alice Quatermain in a parallel universe where there's nothing but aliens everywhere unlike in the S13 universe. She'll be a Dr. who gets molested by her patients all the time. Inspired by some video game on the web, Space Nurse, or some such. I've been planning to set it up on SSSC in the future, but will be giving Mike the Mutant first refusal on it. I'll let you know when I know.

Also in the Hope of Man, Arno gets a warning from the beyond: STOP MESSIN' WITH US!!!  It's as if the Twilight Zone figured out who Rod Serling was and told him to knock it off!

Arno will be playing a part more directly there from here on out.

I'd like to beg everyone's forbearance

Succubus was due for an update tonight but I'm suddenly unable to concentrate on my work right now. There has been an absolutely horrifying tragedy in Newtown that has me a bit rattled. I am a parent and feel the need to go to school and be with my son right now. I should be able to get back to work briefly tonight but there is no way I can finish my update if I do leave right now, which I've decided to do. There is no point in my working since I can't even think.

This is a visceral and instinctive thing that any parent will understand. It may seem a bit ridiculous and overly dramatic to some since the odds are so long against anything happening here but nonetheless my emotions are strong in this matter. I've learned to listen to them when concerns my child.

Succubus will be updated one day late, tomorrow late Saturday. My thanks for your patience.

The input I've gotten on what's wrong at SSSC has been, among other things, set a schedule, and freakin' stick to it!

Friday is update day. Once a week on Fridays by the end of my work day I will have up the weeks post.

Schedule: 3 to 5 page updates
1st Friday: Catfight!

2nd Friday: Horror or SciFi or Superheroines

3rd Friday: MILF stories, non incest.

4th Friday: Invisible Sex Maniac stories.
5th Friday: Illustrations

1st Friday: Wonder Woman vs Big Barda
2nd Friday: Succubus
3rd Friday: The Gradys
4th Friday: ISM, not GGGB.

Interstitially as I can get to it: Good Girls Gone Bad to wrap up in the next six pages and will be posted as a  surprise posting not on Friday and not to replace the usual Friday post. Also New Here will continue after I'm done with GGGB in the same manner.

ISM will return to the vein you're familiar with.


After the Gradys shtupp....I mean stop, will begin the tale of The Ring, as promised.

After Succubus finishes, I'll be doing a Space Doc series loosely based on the lady doctor in Sector 13 over at monsterbabes.

ISM friday will be a permanent fixture. Stories will be kept short, no more than ten pages or so.

Thoughts on the middle passages.

Well, things aren't so bad here that  I'm gonna close the site because of dwindling memberships. But the memberships have lost about a third of where I started from. Since the month I opened it there has been no growth.

 I'm looking for an uptick in membership as a signal that things are more as they  should be on the site and then I'll move more aggressively toward advertising than I have. Sooner or later I'll get it right and I'll hang on until I do.

Obviously output hasn't been what I had hoped it would be. It's not awful, but not what I want either.

I should be participating on forums soon also. I would benefit from talking to others to learn more about the business and audience that's out there.

As to style and content...what I'm doing clearly isn't keeping most people going with me. Partly is that I've had to rely on commissioned stories that others have taken me in a direction that I wouldn't have gone in if left to my own druthers, no offense to my commissioners. But people are familiar with a certain tone and content from me that inevitably gets altered in the collaboration process.

As to style I feel some more excitement in the pictures and people is called for. I'm learning more about getting more out of a composition right now and things could stand some improvement in that direction.

The females need to be more in peril and dismayed and deserving of a little mistreatment, and maybe a bit less capable in some cases, though I wont abandon the capable woman angle altogether. I still want to do my share of Sector 13 style horror and adventure.

Also I think a more cartoony approach is called for in some stories especially in the ISM. Too realistic can be an issue in the wrong place I think. I'm thinking of Mitch Byrd and Art Adams as influences here, btw.

Oh, and also, draw bigger tits. I hear this a lot these days. I gotcha, though I'll depart from that from time to time. Flat chested girls ring my bell too, boy.

And output seems to matter a lot. I'll try to figure out how to do more while I work what's turned into my virtual 'day job' editing stories, and drawing Sector 13 over at Monsterbabes.

I have personal incidents I can draw from as most of y'all do. I actually haven't done much of taking memories and running with them in a story. For example I saw a woman once come out of her house in a morning in her robe, bend down to pick up the paper, and give me a nice early morning wake up of
cleavage. Add to that, this was in an affluent neighborhood and had she seen me looking wouldn't likely have been pleased. ISM would have kept her bent down and had his way, or at least popped her robe open for the appreciation of all! ISM, paperboy! Heh heh.

Will, I think, is reminding me that the point of this site was to stand out, not blend in. My poor sales reflect poor marketing and little depth in content. And a less than fully professional look to my work, which can be rushed of necessity right now.

I'm going to take a few days away from SSSC, two or three at least, to get caught up with a bunch of work at m9. I will resume GGGB and want to get out some new pages of Wonder Womam and Barda as soon as I can.

After getting rid of Eye of Newt, and increasing Bat Wings, and fixing the double double boiler trouble, it looks like my meds are clearing my head finally. I really lost a lot of work time due to a medication imbalance that gave me drowsiness, unfocused-ness, and general discombobulation, so when we got rid of the culprit, my brain pan realigned and seems much better. So far. Hopefully the effect is permanent. 

It's funny how doctors don't necessarily talk to each other. That would have helped. Ah, health care in the US.

Still having blinky memory issues, mostly short term, but that again is nothing new. But it's better than it was. Words I hear have stopped just sliding off my brain like rainwater and I can actually comprehend things said to me, or written in a book! I'm working on organizing myself finally and getting my act together.  Even better, one of the characteristics of ADD is the difficulty of anticipating pleasure due to something called 'time blindness'. I used to approach vacations or finishing projects at work, for example, and feel nothing in terms of anticipation. Even present pleasures seemed muted or non existent.All one big "MEH!" You can imagine the heck this would play with someone's motivation or decision making.

 Bare in mind: I've had this condition my entire life thinking it was just part of life's landscape. The idea that something could be done about it never occurred to me.Life just had this low level suckiness that was just there. I was just weird and that's all there was to it. 

 Now with a diagnosis( I'VE GOT WHAT?!!AND I'VE HAD IT ALL MY LIFE?!!!) and proper medication I'm beginning to feel pleasure in being curious, in learning, and I hope soon, in breaking my long established reflexive isolation. And drawing and writing is more fun than ever. 

The bankruptcy sucks and now we are in the waiting part. Two months before final approval. 

I'm going to putting stuff up on the blog and on SSSC  this week. I'm behind on all of my work so I'll be putting up a story I've been waiting to color, but have decided to go ahead and get started on for the sake of getting started. It's a commission piece that my commissioner has generously permitted me to use an ISM story that's a bit off beat for ISM but one you should enjoy.

Trouble on my end. TMI warning

Hi All

Things aren't going well on this end. last week I filed for bankruptcy, and remember all the memory issues I told you about? ( can't remember if I did or not.) I finally got a solid diagnosis from a good Psychiatrist that I have ADD, Slow Cognitive Tempo type. I've been suspicious of this for a while but it's an easy thing to explain away as some kind of lack of character on my part. Nice to know that it isn't my fault. But at 54 you can imagine that I do have a  crushing sense of loss of what might have been.
So now we're adjusting my meds from the kind that treat Major suicidal depression to the kind that more directly treat ADD.( Ritalin or Adderal, in other words. ) I'm likely going to go through a period of side effects that should soon wear off. Right now for instance I'm on antianxiety meds that leave me real foggy headed and unsteady on my feet. I didn't get the kind that gives you a four hour erection, dammit!

As far as I can tell, it's mostly a chemical imbalance I've had all my life that until now has been undiagnosed. Diagnosing it improves the recovery out look to  100%. After we figure out what works in terms of medication and I find a coach that specializes in this stuffl I'm confident that I'll be back full blast.

In the last year my working speed has slowed a lot and I'm interrupted a lot with the need to sleep. I may have to suspend all my commissions for the time being at least until my head clears. Give me a week on that. The side effects I have may start to clear up by then, especially when I start on the stimulants.
This week looks like it's going to be another wash on SSSC. If you can see your way to hanging in with me, I'd appeciate it.   If not, I totally understand. I wll be posting things as much as I can, but very irregularly, Id' say for the next month or so.


Keep sending thepictures and ides. They cheer me up.

Rethinking; need your opinion.

Being in this kind of business is like feeling your way in the dark with a short stick. You can only learn as you go and accept the fact that some things you wont notice or understand until it's all fucked up in a pile at your feet. THEN maybe you'll be able to understand what the problem is. No, not understand; take another guess about. The porn comics biz is small and theres not enough money in it to study the market at all. You know what works when people start signing up. That's the only thing that seems to matter.

I had hoped the variety approach would work out since I love to do a variety of stuff. But since the success of my site is still very small...disappointingly so....and starting to slide backwards, I have to take another stab at what I feature on my website.

Variety on a site such as SSSC is hard to achieve and keep everyone happy. Many of you out there like a specific kind of story. I'm beginning to suspect that most of you do. And anything outside of that specific kind of story you just aren't really all that interested in. And since you only see me do that one kind of story once in a blue moon, you loose interest and feel your money is best spent elsewhere. Variety may end up being a good idea but I'd have to be cranking out stuff every week in each category to make it work, or build up a library of each type over the years. After several years I'd be able to attract enough subscribers to make a living entirely off the site. Obviously, that's not going to happen.

I don't know how to concentrate on one thing without alienating a lot of you who've signed up with interest in the kinds of stories you like only to see that area of interest disappear from the site altogether.
All I can do is make the shift and hope I've picked the right one.

Now then, what niche shall I try to establish? Invisible Sex Maniac is a big deal judging from the reaction I've heard. So are the MILF stories: a lot of you are waiting for the Ring to be a series here. And I've been told by veterans in the field that Superheroines in peril is the most stable and broadly successful of all the genres in the erotic comics area and that I should at least start with that alone and then add my own stuff later.

So I'm thinking about concentrating on the Superheroine stories on the pay site. I'm also thinking about selling individual stories in other genres as downloadable pdfs for a few bucks each.

It's Done!

Mom's Weekend Visit is done! Whew. Always decide how long a story is gonna be before you start it. This one was kind of a tribute of the old hardcore sex novels published. Which this one easily can do. I had to stop when I hit a stopping place or it would have gone on for a couple of more months easily. In other words  I started a novel here. Not gonna do that any more. Why?

For one thing I'm trying to have a variety of story types on the website and spending so much time on one story isn't practical for that. I will still do long story arcs, but it'll be made up of many 5 to 15 page stories that can stand as chapters.

I'm going to try going back to rotating stories each week. That's what I need to do to get the variety I'm after in a reasonable time.

My next story will be a horror story. I have recently had someone ask me to throw one to him and so here it is! And many folks are coming to my site looking for something like Sector 13, so I'll be looking to do something that has that flavor here. I'm considering re starting the Urban Legends series that I had going on Monsterbabes for a while.

After that I'll be finishing the Superheroines female combat story, and will continue the Code. And I will also be continuing the Meet the Gradys series. That story will end it's first chapter in a few pages, btw. It's gonna be a series of chapters as well.

Two new sketchpad updates.

There is an inked and color version of Martian Mayhem and a nice painted sketch from my digital sketchbook up in the members area of SSSC.
The painted sketch is how I'm trying to come up with a fast way of painting my comics, which is my preference. It's still taking too long but this is the simplest way of working I've found that I feel is effective.

There will be more Mom's up at SSSC soon. I'm taking a wee break from it, but will be back in the saddle in a few days. Until then I've got some unusual posts planned for the site. Samples and teasers to be seen here of course.

Musings

My paysite is intended by me to be a variety show. I want to hit all sorts of story types as sort of reflects my varied interests. And it is also a new paysite and I'm new to running one. A lesson I'm learning right now is that while I'm blessedly free of the five page story limit I had at M9, there is also a practical limit to the length of stories that I'm working on.I can't allow a story to go on and on because it kind of ties everything up and people who like catfight stuff don't see anything new from me for weeks or months, people who are fans of my sci fi and horror work and superheroine work don't get fed either. 

So. I promised you all that I would stay with the Mom's Weekend Visit story until it was done, and I will. It's just going to be wrapping up in the next week or two and then I'll start cranking out some ISM and sci fi work as well. I'm thinking things will run no more than ten pages or so, or will have monthly updates of five pages along with the regular shorter duration stuff until it's done. The stories that I have unfinished will wrap up as well over time, but I need to get out some of the work I'm known for doing in short order. So do look for things to be happening soon.

So some thoughts...found some rolling around under the couch...anyway, one thing that is coming clear to me is that while I'm free in my own site to get away from the five page stories I've been doing for M9 these many years, the twenty plus page stories I'm doing are just too freakin' long. I'll be finishing up Mom's in it's proper length now that I've started it, but in the future I'll be doing more seven to fifteen page stories in the interest of not getting hung up on one thing for too long. Of course stories like the Ring will be a novel length thing, but most of the time I'll be doing shorter length tales or installments like I do for Sector 13 or Urban Legends.  I want a variety of subject matter on SSSC and I don't want to take ten years doing it. Yeesh.I mean I still don't have a decent amount of catfight content out yet. I hope to rectify that revoltin' development soon.

I'm doing a bunch of Sector 13 stories for Mike da Mutant right now but I'll be crankin' out more Mom's in a day or two here. Sorry about the lag, but I'll be catching up.Stay tuned.

I tried to draw today's Moms' while watching Cloverfield for the first time.

Well, actually, it didn't matter. I seem to be catching everything that comes along lately and there was no way I was going to be able to finish it today the way I'm feeling. Drawing does require a certain amount of energy, and if you don't have it, you're wasting your time and energy.  I spent most of the day today asleep. But the page for Moms is half done. I will have it up on SSSC tomorrow. Even if I only work in bits and pieces throughout the day.
